The Beauty Of Ontario North & Algonquin Park

Bancroft District is a great place to visit as it is perfectly situated beside Algonquin Park and many other Ontario Provincial Parks. There are thousands of square kilometers of wooded highlands and enchanting valleys largely untouched by humans. Bancroft is called the “Mineral Capital of Canada” and a favorite outing for many of our guests is a visit to one of the many mineral or gem sites.

The area provides some spectacular scenery, parks and places to visit. Here are a few links to these spots. When you arrive at Footprints, you will also receive our welcome package, which includes all of this plus other information (e.g. shops, local events) to make your stay comfortable, enjoyable and more exciting!
